Have to agree with Motorward.com's take on the new Toyota Prius ad. Creepy, surreal, and just plan unattractive -- especially, as they point out, the human-butt-as-monster-nose thing (insert any number of bad brown-nosing jokes here).
While I admire the physical skill to contort and cuddle all those humans, it's an idea that falls squarely into he "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" camp, at least for an ad.
I saw the ad run on CNN and had a true WTF moment:
The weird thing if you live in northern New Mexico is how much the figure resembles our very own Zozobra, the iconic autumn Santa Fe paganesque ritual (image linked from the official Zozobra site; all rights theirs. I did not download this image).
It was in fact my first reaction when I saw the ad from a few feet away; resemblance is just too uncanny.
I love my Toyota RAV4, but this ad is a bad idea. Fail.
